The first time I realized that this was the copy cat center of the world was shortly after I arrived here 6 years ago. I was in the ladies salon getting my hair done and a British woman came in to the tailor section. She showed the tailor a fashion magazine and told her that she had a banquet to attend and wanted her to make an exact replica of the designer gown in the magazine. The British woman said that she does that all the time and never buys the designer brand but has trhe tailor copy it. I was amazed!

Were you raised in the West or did you just study English here?

This copy thing is really depressing!! For Go’s sake we have world known designers even from our own countries!! Why should people follow the herd blindfolded!!

I haven’t studied English outside Saudi. I am majored in English Literature sweetie. I have learned English and got the native American myself thanks to Allah 😉

It’s humilating for us as Arab nations!!

What killed me most is Elissa!! She keeps on saying that her dresses are either made by Elli Saab or Zohair Murad and then it turns out to be Jennifer Lopez 100% copy!! Not only dresses but look at all her pictures. She imitates her blindly in EVERYTHING God damn it!!

Wow…I realized when my mum started talking about it, back in the day when women would see a dress they had liked on an actress and would go to the tailor and ask for the same design for their dress:P

    Very interesting don ya think!!!

Kinda disgusting in a way too, I guess they juz follow the herd instead of being diefferent hmmm???

Btw — Amr Diab looks rather yummy — way better then whats his face Enrique;P

OMG that was almost painful I had to keep lowering my eyes out of shame! Especially the guy with the finger he cant pull it off because of the stupid facial expression he has on his face! And Elissa I dont even know if I can go there it was so obvious. But the worst was the last girl )i dont know her name) shes not only wearing the same thing but posing the same way although she is a bit more modest than beyonce I must point out. Anyways I have noticed this a lot with music videos here and movies! Anyways Hissweetheart I am new to your blog and enjoy it a lot!

I have felt the same trust me. I saw once that show which compares the English video clips with their copy cat Arabic video clips!! I was really shcoked!! Not to forget the 100% imitation of the songs and the rythm as well!!

Sweetie, my blog is all yours. I will be very pleased to see your comment every now and then 😉
